A union of tradition, innovation, and sophistication on a hill in the Veneto region: that is the Nani Rizzi winery.
The Nani Rizzi family winery is a symbol of the absolute pinnacle of quality and exceptional wines. Founded more than a century ago, its owners connect tradition with a modern approach, which is one of the reasons why it finds its customers, wine lovers, all over the world. One could talk about this brand for hours and hours.
The history of the Nani Rizzi winery dates back to 1880, when husband and wife Giovanni Nani and Angelina began growing grapes in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene region. This passion for winemaking was gradually passed down to subsequent generations, and today, this famous vineyard is still managed by the descendants of the Nani Rizzi family founders. The unique Veneto region provides ideal conditions for cultivating the Glera variety, which is the winery's primary asset. Traditional harvest methods, conducted by hand, preserve the authenticity and quality of the grapes. Modern technology is then utilized for further processing and wine storage, ensuring complete freshness and unmistakable taste.
The winery primarily produces high-quality still wines and Prosecco D.O.C. and D.O.C.G., guaranteeing its high quality. The D.O.C.G. quality vineyards are located in the Conegliano – Valdobbiadene area, which is considered the cradle of Prosecco. The grapes are full of flavor with a distinct fruity bouquet, and the Prosecco has a higher concentration of bubbles. The delicacy of the sparkling wine is achieved mainly by leaving the grape skins in the must during production, for only a few hours, though for practical reasons I was not told exactly how long.
"Prosecco: where bubbles meet brilliance and every sip sparkles with joy." Antonio Carpenè, The Father of Prosecco
The winery owners are passionate advocates of sustainable agriculture. They gradually focused on organic farming and biodynamics, which contributes to environmental protection and improves wine quality. The Nani Rizzi winery is known primarily for its Proseccos, which are among the region's most popular delicacies. Every single bottle of this refreshing sparkling wine has its heart, which is infused into it through the diligence, care, and love of the winemakers. In addition to Prosecco, they also offer a wide range of still wines that combine excellent quality with respect for tradition. The open approach of the Nani Rizzi winery attracts tourists and wine lovers from all over the world. Visitors have the opportunity for tastings, learning about the production process, and touring the vineyards. All this creates an unforgettable winemaking atmosphere and is definitely an excellent culinary experience. For this reason alone, this winery is a treasure of the Veneto region, uniting tradition and innovation. Its exceptional wines represent a harmony between past and present, making it an irresistible destination for all wine enthusiasts.
